Sanwa 700-BTL064BK power bank with integrated retractable USB-C cable

Sanwa Supply has introduced a 10,000 mAh power bank that combines semi-solid lithium-ion battery technology with an integrated retractable USB-C cable. The Japanese accessory maker claims better resistance to overheating and swelling, while 30W charging and a digital battery display make it a practical travel companion.

A power bank is a useful thing to carry around, as long as you remember to pack the charging cable too. Sanwa Supply’s new 700-BTL064BK solves this small but remarkably persistent problem with a retractable USB-C cable built right into its housing.

The cable extends approximately 70cm and retracts when not in use, avoiding the usual tangle of wires at the bottom of the backpack. It works both ways, allowing users to charge their smartphone or recharge the power bank itself without carrying another cable.

However, the retractable cable isn’t the only interesting feature. Sanwa has equipped the 10,000 mAh device with a semi-solid lithium-ion battery rather than a conventional liquid electrolyte design. According to the manufacturer, this construction reduces the likelihood of overheating and swelling.

The power bank also includes temperature monitoring and protection against over-current, over-charging, over-discharging and short circuits. These safety benefits remain manufacturer claims rather than independently verified improvements.

Charging specs include USB Power Delivery up to 30W with PPS support. A separate USB-C port allows for simultaneous charging of two devices, although maximum power is reduced when both connections are in use. The power bank weighs approximately 225 g and measures 137 × 74 × 15 mm. A digital display shows the battery’s remaining capacity in 1% increments, while its 37Wh capacity falls below the 100Wh limit commonly applied for airline carry-on luggage. Airline specific rules still apply.

Sanwa has priced the 700-BTL064BK at ¥6,980 (about $45), with Japanese availability via Rakuten or Amazon JP.

It won’t eliminate all the inconveniences of charging, but having the cable permanently connected eliminates at least one opportunity of forgetting something important.
