Jae Tips is making a second G-Shock: The Bronx designer announced the “What Time You On? 2.0” on Instagram overnight, and it’s coming to ComplexCon in Los Angeles on October 3 and 4. He runs Savior Worldwide and is best known for footwear, with collaborations under his belt with Saucony, Adidas, New Era and Hat Club.
There’s something worth knowing, though. The artwork says pre-order only, so no one will walk out of the convention center with one. You place your order at the Savior by Jae Tips booth and wait. A limited run will also be available online at SaviorWorldwide.com on October 3 (for anyone who can’t make it to Los Angeles).
The watch is again a DW-6900 and this time it is translucent. The case and strap this time are a light teal, with a blue strap loop and a red G button. the base under the display is lavender. There are three subcircles within multicolored rings; it is one of the details that is reported by the first. The same goes for the Jae Tips logo flower, the “Forever on some fly” line under the display, and the custom backlight that generates the “Savior” graphic when you hit the light.
The packaging is also themed, as you’ll receive a green can covered in flowers with Jae Tips’ floral logo on the lid, as well as a matching box featuring the question the collaboration is named after.
For reference, the first version was the DW6900JT25-2. That debuted at ComplexCon in Las Vegas last October for $150, hit Savior Worldwide on October 31, and the Casio US store on November 7. It’s out of stock on Casio US now.
Neither the price nor the model number have been announced for version 2.0. If Casio follows the same pattern, a wider release should arrive a few weeks after the show.
