iOS-27s-Siri-gets-one-thing-right-that-other-AI.jpg

Siri AI is a major update to Apple’s Assistant now available in iOS 27. And there’s one standout area I’ve noticed where it differs greatly from other AI assistants, for the better.

The new Siri in iOS 27 doesn’t pretend to be human, unlike every other AI chatbot

I’ve been using Siri AI for almost four months, ever since the first iOS 27 beta launched. Overall, it’s lived up to all the expectations I was hoping for.

The new Siri is much more capable than its predecessor, delivering on its original promise of being a truly capable assistant on Apple devices.

I’ll admit it though: If you need the most powerful, cutting-edge AI tool, you may be better served by competitors like ChatGPT, Claude, and Google Gemini.

However, after using Siri AI and comparing it to third-party tools, I noticed a key difference where I much prefer Siri.

Unlike other AI chatbots, Siri he doesn’t pretend to be human.

It’s not overly wordy, it mimics a human-like personality that might lead you to form a personal relationship with it.

Siri is helpful, smart, and does what you ask of it. But the way he responds makes it clear that he is a tool, not a person. It regularly reminds you that it is an artificial intelligence, so it can make mistakes. And he won’t fake date you.

While ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini are all full of personalities, opinions, and demonstrate more human tendencies in a way that, to me, feels false.

I imagine that some users like this more “personal” approach. But I much prefer AI assistants to stay in their lane and not pretend to be something they’re not.

Artificial intelligence is changing the world. But AI chatbots are tools, not people. And I love that Apple understands this and built the new Siri accordingly.

What is your opinion on how “human-like” an AI assistant should be? Let us know in the comments.
