Swiss watchmaker Tissot has expanded its popular PRX line with a new collaboration with NBA star Damian Lillard. Dubbed the PRX Skeleton Damian Lillard Special Edition, the watch replaces the conventional dial with an exposed mechanical movement. It also comes with an accessory that allows you to turn it into a pocket watch.
The new PRX Skeleton features a 44mm stainless steel case, making it noticeably larger than the 40mm PRX. It measures 11.2 mm thick and weighs 95 grams. Other specs include a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating, a transparent caseback with Lillard’s signature, and water resistance to 100 meters.
The watch’s skeletonized dial offers an unobstructed view of its mechanical components, surrounded by burgundy accents inspired by Lillard’s personal style. The small seconds display at 9 o’clock incorporates a gold-tone hand in the shape of the basketball star’s distinctive monogram, complete with two vertical lines resembling the dollar sign. The surrounding ring also features “Dame Time,” a reference to Lillard’s signature celebration after making crucial shots.
Unlike the Powermatic 80 automatic movements found in many existing PRX models, the new special edition uses a hand-wound mechanical movement. Tissot says it offers a power reserve of up to 52 hours. The hour and minute hands also feature Super-LumiNova for improved visibility in low-light conditions.
Another notable addition is the assortment of accessories bundled with the watch. Buyers receive two interchangeable burgundy straps: one rubber and one leather. The first features a pattern inspired by the makeshift basketball hoops Lillard used in his childhood, made from milk crates.
But the most interesting thing is the pocket watch conversion kit. It features a dedicated leather holder with chain, allowing you to remove the watch case from the strap and carry it in your pocket or attach it to a bag. The quick release strap mechanism means the conversion requires no additional tools.
This is Tissot’s second PRX collaboration with Lillard, following an earlier 40mm gold-colored model powered by the Powermatic 80 automatic movement. The new version differs substantially in both construction and mechanical design, though its 44mm size may be too large for buyers with smaller wrists.
The Tissot PRX Skeleton Damian Lillard Special Edition (reference T137.405.17.371.00) is now listed on the manufacturer’s official website for $2,075 in the US and ₹2,11,500 in India. This is a special, unnumbered, limited production edition.
