While the iPhone Duo won’t launch until Friday, preparations are already underway at Apple’s flagship store on Fifth Avenue in New York for the big day. Here are the details.
Apple Fifth Avenue prepares for the launch of the iPhone Duo
As noted by @LChenlz on X, Apple has begun setting up several large rectangular structures around the store’s iconic glass cube entrance.
The installations are still hidden under black cloth and a white protective casing, but their shapes strongly suggest that they could be giant models of the iPhone Duo.
In recent years, Apple has celebrated the launch of the new iPhones with special displays and decorations in its flagship stores.
In 2024, the company lit the Fifth Avenue glass cube in Apple Intelligence colors for the launch of the iPhone 16, while last year it installed giant “Pro” and “Air” displays in several locations.
Most recently, Apple decorated the Fifth Avenue cube in burgundy, silver and blue to celebrate the launch of the iPhone 18 Pro last month.
Interestingly, there doesn’t appear to be a line outside Apple Fifth Avenue yet, although customers have reportedly already started queuing at other stores.
As 9to5Mac covered today, Apple confirmed that its U.S. retail stores will have a limited number of iPhone Duo units available for customers coming in on Friday, while stores in several other markets, including mainland China, Japan, and France, will only offer in-store pickup for orders placed online.
