Friday is iPhone Duo launch day, and there are plenty of excited customers hoping to walk into an Apple Store and get one after a messy pre-order rollout. In a new interview with TechRadarGreg Joswiak, Apple’s vice president of marketing, offered insight into demand and in-store availability of the first foldable iPhone.
On in-store availability, Joswiak said, “You know, we didn’t ship them all during the pre-order, we have them available in stores, we’re excited.” … “I’m sure we will have satisfied customers.”
“Well, I think the pre-order demand last week was amazing,” Joswiak added. “People understood it. They understood what we were doing.”
In a statement to 9to5Mac Earlier this week, Apple confirmed that stores would have “limited” availability of the iPhone Duo for walk-in customers in the countries listed below. Joz’s comments add further confirmation that some customers will be happy tomorrow.
- United States, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Mexico, Germany, Macau, Netherlands, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, United Kingdom and most stores in Italy
Joswiak will be at Apple’s flagship store on Fifth Avenue in New York for the launch of the iPhone Duo tomorrow. He will likely be joined by other Apple executives, including CEO John Ternus.
