Belkin now offers two new semi-solid batteries for your iPhone. There is a 10,000 mAh offering with a USB-C port for charging. The second is a 5,000mAh MagSafe offering, which offers 15W Qi2 charging. Both are much lighter than you’d expect, and both offer cool-to-the-touch high-quality aluminum builds.
10K
When you pick up this solid-state battery, you’ll notice that it’s much lighter than you’d traditionally expect compared to other batteries of its capacity. For example, this battery weighs 220g, compared to older 10K batteries that weigh between 240 and 300g.
As I mentioned before, it also has a nice aluminum construction. This thing looks premium and, thanks to its shape, is very pocketable.
There’s not much else to write about a battery bank, but it offers up to 60W charging and comes with a smart display that will show the battery percentage. It’s available for $89.95 on Amazon.
5K MagSafe
If you want a slim MagSafe battery, this is the one. I’m tempted to say that this is comparable to my favorite iPhone MagSafe battery, only because it’s very light and incredibly thin. Sure, this battery doesn’t have frills like a kickstand or smart display, but it gets the job done really well.
It’s also worth noting that if you’re buying an iPhone Duo, this will protrude slightly from the bottom of the phone. This will be an issue with virtually any MagSafe accessory made for the iPhone Duo. It wouldn’t surprise me if we see some MagSafe batteries designed for the iPhone Duo at CES next year.
You can pick one up on Amazon for $69.99.
