The hunt for a fleeing thief turns into a fight for survival in Apple TV’s upcoming thriller “Sacrament.”
Apple Original Films is developing “Sacrament,” a thriller starring “F1” actor Damson Idris. Jonathan Levine will serve as director, while Idris will also serve as producer.
AS Expiration notes, the film follows two Chicago cops-turned-contractors, who track a fleeing thief to the remote town of Sacrament, Utah. Although the job starts out fairly ordinary, it quickly turns into a battle where the two are outnumbered.
The film reunites Idris with writers Enzo Mileti and Scott Wilson, who worked on his FX series “Snowfall.” The writers were also co-executive producers of “Fargo.”
The project will be developed by Apple Studios. Chernin Entertainment will produce via its first-look deal with Apple.
The film is currently in early development and does not have a release date.
