JAŸ-Z confirmed to headline Apple Music's 2027 Super Bowl Halftime Show

The NFL and Apple Music announced today that JAŸ-Z will headline the Apple Music Super Bowl LXI Halftime Show on February 14, 2027. Here are the details.

Tonight, Apple Music and the NFL confirmed during the Dallas Cowboys-Philadelphia Eagles Monday Night Football game that “25-time Grammy Award winner Jay-Z will perform at the Super Bowl LXI Halftime Show at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California on Sunday, February 14, 2027.”

The NFL press release hinted at the possibility of JAŸ-Z’s wife, superstar Beyoncé, appearing as a special guest, which would mark her return to the Super Bowl halftime show for the first time since 2016, when she performed alongside Coldplay and Bruno Mars. Beyoncé also headlined the halftime show in 2013.

The NFL announcement also mentions several celebrities who joined JAŸ-Z on his recent tour, including Blue Ivy Carter, John Legend, DJ Khaled, Too $hort, Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg, making them potential candidates for guest appearances at the halftime show as well.

It’s worth noting that JAŸ-Z founded Roc Nation, which has been working with the NFL since 2019 to help select and produce Super Bowl halftime performances. The company will also serve as executive producer of next year’s show.

In the announcement teaser, JAŸ-Z appeared surrounded by goats, along with the slogan “The goat is out of the bag”. The video also features the recently revamped Apple Music branding.

Earlier this year, the Apple Music Super Bowl LX Halftime Show with Bad Bunny made history by winning seven Emmy Awards, more than any previous halftime show, despite controversy over its choice as headliner.

It remains to be seen whether next year’s show will repeat the same success.
