Konkr Pocket Advance 90% shipped, Pocket Micro 2 late

Ayaneo has shipped about 90% of Konkr Pocket Advance pre-orders, according to an email sent to the customer in mid-October. The same update confirmed that the Konkr Pocket Block is close to shipping and delayed the Pocket Micro 2 by a week.

Pocket Advance orders are almost complete

Ayaneo says the majority of Pocket Advance’s remaining orders are for the Onyx Ice color, which it had already flagged as one of the last to ship. These orders, along with pending orders for other releases, were expected to be completed the following week. The company is already planning additional production batches and says new orders should ship within about two weeks.

The Pocket Advance is sold in regular, Peach, and Onyx Ice colors. Onyx Ice, a translucent black limited edition, costs $109 for the 3GB/32GB model and $129 for the 4GB/64GB version.

Pocket Block shipping begins

Ayaneo said production of the Pocket Block is progressing smoothly. Shipping to China began on October 15, and the company said international shipping will begin by the end of October. The vertical Android handheld has a 3.33-inch 960×720 4:3 screen and a Helio G85 chip.

The starting price is $79 for the 2GB/32GB model and $99 for the 3GB/64GB version, versus retail prices of $89 and $109. Ayaneo’s store still lists early bird prices at the time of writing.

Pocket Micro 2 postponed to November

Ayaneo had planned to start shipping the Pocket Micro 2 at the end of October, but the controller supplier delivered the components a week late. Shipping now begins in early November, and orders placed in October are expected to ship in mid-November. Ayaneo apologized for the week’s delay. Only 12GB/128GB configurations were available in the store on October 27: $309 for Frosty White and Midnight Black, and $339 for Stardust Purple. The 6GB and 8GB models were out of stock.

What buyers should expect

Ayaneo’s timing has already slipped in the past. In September, it said it would only ship 50-60% of Pocket Advance pre-orders that month, even though it reported more than 20,000 sales in China alone. Consider the Pocket Block and Pocket Micro 2 dates as targets until shipping confirmations arrive.
