Anker has launched the eufy Video Doorbell S4 as part of its new Edge 5.0 Yard Protection System, releasing it alongside the SoloCam E50 outdoor camera. The doorbell costs $299.99 with eufy Chime 2 included and is available for pre-order, with shipping expected by the end of October 2026.
eufy also sells the doorbell bundled with a two-camera SoloCam E50 kit and a HomeBase S380 hub for $949.98. The SoloCam E50 costs $229.99 on its own.
The Edge 5.0 range includes five devices: S4, SoloCam E50, TrackLight Cam S1, eufyCam E52 and Window Camera E10. Frank Zhu, general manager of Anker eufy, said homeowners see their properties as “a cohesive space that they need to protect.” He added that every product in the range connects to the HomeBase S380 for local storage without a monthly subscription. Anker first showed off the S4 at CES in January, when it was priced at $279.99.
The doorbell records 3K video at 3072 x 3072, a 9MP square frame, at up to 24 frames per second with HDR. Its lens covers 180 degrees horizontally and vertically, which eufy says extends from floor level to ceiling height and wall to wall, showing visitors from head to toe. The camera offers up to 8x zoom and the dual spotlights provide color night vision.
Anker calls the S4 the world’s first VR doorbell. In VR mode, owners move the phone or headphones to observe the panoramic image from any angle. When a visitor presses the button, the alert appears on their phone as an incoming video call, and answering opens the feed in full-screen VR mode with two-way audio.
eufy OmniTrack, the company’s AI tracking system, locks onto a person in the frame. Auto-framing then crops the panoramic image so the person remains centered, offering a narrower view of each event.
Radar handles long-range detection, while two PIR sensors cover a larger area near the door. eufy says the combination separates human movement from disturbances like insects and rain. Owners can draw custom detection zones within a 120-degree range of up to 8 meters, and the doorbell supports person, motion, package and face detection. An integrated welcome light turns on with a warm glow when someone approaches.
The S4 is a wired only doorbell. It connects to existing doorbell wiring ranging from 16 to 24 VAC and does not support battery or solar power for everyday use. A built-in 2,600 mAh battery keeps it running during power outages, and the included Chime 2 replaces your home’s old mechanical doorbell.
The doorbell connects via 2.4GHz and 5GHz dual-band Wi-Fi 6, and eufy recommends an upload speed of at least 8Mbps for 3K streaming. Store clips on 4GB of built-in storage with no monthly fee. According to eufy, pairing it with a HomeBase S380 adds continuous 24/7 recording and AI recognition of people, vehicles, pets and packages.
The S4 works with Amazon Alexa, Google Home, and Apple Home, while Apple Home requires a HomeBase S380. eufy says these third-party platforms only show a fixed live view, and VR mode and OmniTrack remain exclusive to the Anker eufy app.
