MacRumors reports that in addition to Apple’s expected October 13 event, the company plans to unveil another batch of new products in the final week of the month. Here are the details.

New OLED Macs and iPad minis expected later this year

Over the weekend, BloombergMark Gurman said that Apple will, in fact, hold an event on October 13 to announce “its long-awaited smart home hub with screen, the new HomePod mini, and an updated Apple TV.”

Gurman’s report came at a time of uncertainty over Apple’s decision to hold an event or announce new products through videos and press releases, as it has done in the past. Gurman previously said only that Apple would introduce these products on October 13, without specifying how they would be announced.

In addition to these three products, Apple was also expected to introduce a new OLED iPad mini and new Macs, including an updated iMac and a touchscreen OLED MacBook Pro, both powered by an M6 chip.

Now, MacRumors says that, “according to multiple sources familiar with the matter,” the company will unveil another batch of new products in the last week of October.

The report stops short of saying which products will be announced. It also doesn’t provide a specific date, nor does it say whether Apple will hold a second event or reveal products through videos and press releases.

That said, these month-end announcements would cap off an unusually busy October for Apple, with the iPhone Duo launching on October 23 and the company also expected to report its quarterly results before the end of the month.
