ⓘ Sony, Rockstar (modified)
Rockstar and PlayStation have confirmed the preload date and download size for GTA 6. The game will be huge and PS5 owners will have to regroup if they want to start downloading on November 10th. But what about PS5 Pro owners? Could there be some kind of advantage to more powerful hardware? Fans believe it could be announced before the November 19 launch.
The PlayStation Blog was updated today, November 3, with information on GTA 6the preload date of and the download size of 212 GB. At the end, the “Stay tuned for more” section states that there will be more information about the game as we get closer to the November 19 launch date. A fan account on which information has been published GTA 6 believes this relates to PS5 Pro optimizations.
So far there is no official information on the progress of the game GTA 6 on PS5 Pro, which has led fans to believe that it will be no different from the base PS5, which is 30 FPS. There are people who are keeping an eye on the PS5 Pro to prepare for the game, but given that it won’t offer any particular performance advantages, it seems pointless. However, there are still some who believe that PlayStation could announce improved performance on the PS5 Pro.
Some others believe that the information could concern PSSR2 in GTA 6. Some others believe that it could get a performance mode that brings FPS up to 40 or even 60. Some believe that the game would still be locked to 30 FPS on Pro but would run at a slightly higher resolution.
That said, neither Rockstar nor PlayStation have yet hinted that there will be any performance benefits to the PS5 Pro. Given that we’re only 16 days away from launch, we won’t have to wait long to find out.
