Oppo has opened blind pre-orders for its Reno17 series in China and confirmed that the range will launch next month. The company made the announcement on its official Weibo account without providing an exact date, pricing or specifications.
Reservations are open via Oppo’s online store and other Chinese e-commerce platforms. Buyers who pre-order have a chance to win gifts that include a CCD camera, Bluetooth headset and celebrity-approved gift boxes. Zhang Ruoxing, spokesperson for the Reno series, shared a teaser video along with the announcement.
The Oppo Pad Air 6 tablet and Oppo Watch 5 smartwatch will launch at the same event and both are open for pre-order. Official teasers show that the Pad Air 6 will ship with a new Oppo Notes app and support one-tap file transfer. Oppo hasn’t confirmed how many phones the series will include; However, leaks point to two models in China, Reno17 and Reno17 Pro, and both are expected to run ColorOS 17 based on Android 17.
Tipster Digital Chat Station says the Reno17 Pro will use a 6.32-inch flat OLED display with 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 8550 Super chipset. The leak lists a 200MP main camera with gimbal-style stabilization, a 50MP ultrawide camera, and a 50MP periscope telephoto lens on the back, along with a 50MP front-facing camera. The same tipster estimates the battery capacity to be around 7,000 mAh.
A separate leak from tipster Debayan Roy adds 80W wired charging, a metal chassis, and an IP69 rating to the Reno17 Pro. Other reports suggest the standard Reno17 is expected to have a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset, a 7,000mAh battery, and a 50MP triple camera system, though leaks published so far don’t agree on every detail.
Tipster Smart Pikachu says the series will focus on design and its 200MP cameras, adding new tools for live photos, live video, and photo editing. The dedicated AI button will reportedly return, and the range is also expected to support a teleconverter lens accessory.
The leaked specifications of the Reno17 Pro closely match those of the standard Reno16, which OPPO launched in China on May 25, 2026. That phone uses a 6.32-inch 1.5K 120Hz OLED panel, the Dimensity 8550 Super, and a 200MP main camera, with a 6,700mAh battery and 80W charging. China has upgraded to a larger 6.78-inch display and a Dimensity 9500 chipset.
I’ve been obsessed with technology for as long as I can remember, to the point that I’ve become the unofficial “tech support” for my entire family. Whether it’s fixing gadgets, explaining specs, or recommending best buys, I love breaking down technology for everyday people. That passion led me to write about technology. When I’m not testing gadgets or writing reviews, you’ll probably find me hiking or doom scrolling car lists (still looking for my first ride, wish me luck, lol).
