Timex has expanded its Peanuts watch collection with two new seasonal models, just in time for Halloween. The new Peanuts x Timex Weekender Pumpkin (TW2Y85800) and Peanuts x Timex Weekender Day of the Dead (TW2Y85900) retain the familiar Weekender design but add elaborate Snoopy-themed illustrations that extend beyond the dials to the leather straps.
The Weekender pumpkin features Snoopy perched on a carved orange Jack-o’-lantern, with Woodstock sitting on his head. The illustration takes up most of the gray dial, which also features hour markers with Arabic numerals and silver-tone hands. The brown leather strap features an embossed bat pattern, further reinforcing the Halloween theme.
Meanwhile, Weekender Day of the Dead is inspired by Mexico’s Día de los Muertos celebrations. It features Snoopy surrounded by colorful floral illustrations, with decorative elements inspired by sugar skulls and a detailed hat. The artwork is complemented by a paisley-embossed black leather strap. Unlike Halloween, Día de los Muertos is traditionally associated with the remembrance and celebration of deceased loved ones.
Underneath their design, both watches share almost identical specifications. They feature 40mm polished silver-tone cases, quartz movements, mineral crystal protection, and 50 meters (5 ATM) water resistance. Both models also feature Timex’s signature Indiglo backlighting, which allows the illustrated dials to glow in the dark.
The TW2Y85800 and TW2Y85900 models use replaceable CR2016 batteries and come with 20mm leather straps secured with conventional buckles. Their simple three-hand analog movements keep the focus on the artwork rather than further complications. Interestingly, Timex has already released a Pumpkin Dial Weekender (TW2Y12300), although the new TW2Y85800 features different graphics and a redesigned strap.
Both Peanuts x Timex Weekender Pumpkin and Day of the Dead are listed on the Timex UK website for £155 each. Timex didn’t say whether either model will receive a wider international release.
