The Minix ZR535 is a newly introduced mini PC from the company and is powered by a revamped but relatively dated AMD processor. Specifically, it features the Ryzen 5 3501U inside, a mid-range option from the Picasso range.
This AMD APU features a quad-core CPU and the RX Vega 8 iGPU, which isn’t as capable as something like the Radeon 780M, but should be fine for regular media playback. The processor can provide a similar level of performance as the Intel N97, meaning it can handle light, everyday office tasks.
Minix has paired the AMD processor with a dual-fan cooling setup, which includes a separate cooler for the SSD. This, combined with the dual Gigabit Ethernet ports, could make it a good choice for a versatile mini PC and lightweight NAS hybrid.
Talking about the port configuration, in addition to the dual Gigabit ports, the mini PC has the following:

- 3 USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type A ports
- 1x USB 2.0 type A
- 1x HDMI 2.1
- 1 DisplayPort 1.4
- 1 x 3.5mm audio
For wireless connections, the Minix ZR535 has WiFi 5 and Bluetooth 5.0. Two DDR4 SO-DIMM memory slots, two M.2 SSD slots, 15W and 28W TDP modes, and triple display output support are the other highlights of the mini PC.
As for price, Minix is offering the ZR535 in a single configuration, with 16GB of RAM and a 512GB SSD, and it costs $529. There’s no word on when it will be available, though, but for those looking for something similar, the Bosgame E2 Plus with the same AMD APU is already available for purchase (8/256GB corr. $199.49 on Amazon).
