The Galaxy A57 and Galaxy A37 5G are among the affected smartphones.

Samsung has increased the prices of its latest generation of Galaxy A series smartphones sold in the United States. However, Amazon has been running great deals on most affected models, with discounts of up to $90.

It’s no news that smartphones have become more expensive due to the rising cost of components like RAM and storage. This increase in manufacturing costs not only affects the price of new products, but also affected the prices of older devices as manufacturers had to increase the prices of already announced devices. The latest manufacturer to announce a price increase is Samsung, which increased the prices of current-generation Galaxy A series smartphones sold in the United States.

The affected phones are Galaxy A17 5G, Galaxy A27 5G, Galaxy A37 5G and Galaxy A57 5G. According to information on the American Samsung website, the Galaxy A17 5G now retails for $269.99, a $20 increase over the previous price and the second price increase since its launch last year for $199.99.

Samsung’s Galaxy A series smartphones now cost more than they did at launch.

Thankfully, you don’t need to buy it from Samsung as Amazon has the Galaxy A17 5G for $248.99, an 8% discount off the new price. The deal applies to all three colors: black, blue and gray. This is the US version with a 1 year manufacturer’s warranty.

The Galaxy A27 5G, on the other hand, now costs $379.99, $30 more than its launch price, while the Galaxy A37 5G got a $40 increase and now retails for $489.99. However, you’re better off buying the Galaxy A37 on Amazon where it’s on sale for $399.99 (US version) in lavender and white. Amazon doesn’t have the Galaxy A27, and considering Amazon’s Galaxy A37 is only $20 more, this deal is a no-brainer.

The Galaxy A37 5G is nearly $100 off at Amazon.

Last but not least is the Galaxy A57 5G which now retails for $599.99 for the 128GB version and $679.99 for the 256GB version. Once again, Amazon has got a great deal on the Galaxy A57 as the international version with 256GB of storage is available for between $417 and $419.99 depending on the color. Although not sold by Amazon, the order is shipped by Amazon. It’s also worth noting that there is no US manufacturer warranty, but the product listing says it works with AT&T, Verizon, and T-Mobile and its MVNOs.

It’s sad that phones are getting more and more expensive when they should be getting cheaper after being on the market shelves for months. Luckily, great deals like the ones above allow shoppers to still get the phones they want.
