Timex has added the Easy Reader TW2V40000UJ to its lineup of mainstream analog watches. The classic quartz watch joins the new fieldwatch-style TW2Y12800JQ analog watch in the brand’s roastery. The watch is now available via the Timex India store, priced at ₹9,995 (~$103). As part of the launch offer, the company is offering a 40% discount for a limited period, bringing the price from ₹9,995 to just ₹5,495 ($57).
Speaking of design, the watch comes with a 38mm round silver-tone brass case with a polished finish. You get a white dial with larger Arabic numerals, black hour hands, and an integrated date window at the 3 o’clock position. The minimalist dial and contrasting hour markers give the watch a decidedly classic, vintage-inspired look.
Dimensionally, it measures 9mm (0.35 inches) thick and weighs approximately 50 grams (1.76 ounces). Mineral glass protects the dial, while the watch has a water resistance of 30m (3 bar), making it suitable for everyday splashes and light rain but not for water sports activities such as swimming and snorkelling. Furthermore, the American watchmaker has incorporated a quartz movement for timekeeping into the TW2V40000UJ.
The watch features Indiglo backlighting, which further improves visibility in low-light conditions. An expandable stainless steel bracelet with a silver-tone finish complements the brass case and gives the watch a more traditional dress watch character. The bracelet measures 20mm (0.79 inches) wide and is designed for wrists measuring 150-205mm.
