The website isn’t sure how long the deal will last after GTA 6 release date. However, console and non-console gamers may be tempted to subscribe to Xbox Cloud Gaming. The streaming service is available on devices including desktops, laptops, PDAs, smartphones and even smart TVs.
A new path on PC
Before the latest development, many GTA 6 PC fans had no way to access the game at launch. Rockstar has not officially announced a port to Windows and expectations are that it could take at least a year.
Recently, Xbox Cloud Gaming has come under fire for upcoming changes. Starting in November, Game Pass subscribers will see limits of 5-15 hours of gameplay per month. However, Microsoft will also introduce a new pay-as-you-go plan that doesn’t require a subscription. This option is especially interesting for players not involved in the Xbox ecosystem.
Some critics believed that Microsoft would no longer seek to expand its streaming offerings. However, Windows Central insider Jez Corden denied that the company is shifting its focus. With a huge amount of money likely involved, the GTA 6 The Xbox deal shows this commitment.
