ⓘ Roll me
Rollme has launched AuraCam, a pair of over-ear wireless headphones that can take photos and videos, translate conversations in real time and record meetings. The company describes AuraCam as its first AI headphones.
Its 8MP camera uses electronic image stabilization (EIS) to reduce blur in photos and videos taken in motion. The headphones connect via Bluetooth 5.4 and Wi-Fi 6, and captured photos and clips sync to Rollme’s companion app with a single tap. Rollme says AuraCam’s real-time recognition and translation capabilities are powered by OpenAI, with translation aimed at travelers and conversations between different languages. Recording a meeting requires three taps.
For audio, the AuraCam uses a 40mm microcrystalline metal diaphragm, which the company says produces detailed highs and keeps distortion low at high volumes. Rollme also lists low latency performance to keep game audio in sync with the action on screen. The headphones use leather padding that sits around the ears, which Rollme says maintains pressure during long listening sessions. The company rates the battery for all-day use and says the AuraCam supports fast charging.
The AuraCam follows the AirCam, an open-ear bone conduction headset with an 8MP camera that Rollme launched in July for $79.99. That model records 1080p video at 30 fps, stores clips on 8GB of internal memory, and is rated for 10 hours of playback.
The AuraCam is now available in black and beige at Rollme’s online store, where it’s listed at $89.99 as part of the 11.11 shopping festival promotion.
I’ve been obsessed with technology for as long as I can remember, to the point that I’ve become the unofficial “tech support” for my entire family. Whether it’s fixing gadgets, explaining specs, or recommending best buys, I love breaking down technology for everyday people. That passion led me to write about technology. When I’m not testing gadgets or writing reviews, you’ll probably find me hiking or doom scrolling car lists (still looking for my first ride, wish me luck, lol).
