I reviewed their original D5 a few months ago and it was one of my favorite chargers of the year. Now they’ve brought it all back with some great looking accents and features. The Kuxiu D5 is advertised as a 5-in-1 charger because it charges three devices but also comes with a built-in cooling fan and a diagnostic display. Get:

While it’s not as compact as something like their X40 Turbo, there’s still some thought put into portability and travel with this charger. The Qi2.2 charger can fold up into a small cube that you can take wherever you need, and the Apple Watch charger also retracts into the charger. For me it worked best as a permanent desktop charger, but it’s nice to know it’s portable too.
My experience
As I mentioned, I’ve been using the original black color as my primary desktop charger for a few months now. It is reliable, functional and simple to use. So when Kuxiu announced their Burgundy version, I knew I had to try it, especially since I was looking for some Burgundy color-matching accessories for my new iPhone 18 Pro.
Since I knew this charger was already great, I wanted to see how closely the color matched the iPhone 18 Pro, and I was impressed with how identical it was. The D5’s aluminum parts match the Burgundy of the iPhone 18 Pro and add more burgundy accents to the charger’s different materials.
Beyond aesthetics, my favorite part is the integrated cooling fan because it adds tangible value to the setup. I’m someone who constantly installs new iOS betas, tests new features, and subjects my phone to situations where it tends to overheat. So, having the active cooling system built right into the charger has been a game changer in keeping my phone cooled efficiently and helping it sustain charging at 25W longer, as it doesn’t get hot. The fan is also extremely quiet, but if you want to turn it off, you can do so with just one touch. Then, of course, you have the diagnostic display which shows all the charging statistics you need to see from all active chargers.

Final take
For under $60 I challenge anyone to find me a high-quality 3-in-1 charger that offers all the above features and includes all the charging accessories needed to get the most out of it. This is why Kuxiu is one of the brands I recommend most; it is the performance/price ratio that distinguishes them. So if you just bought a new Burgundy iPhone or are looking for a new 3-in-1 charger, I highly recommend you check this one out. My only wish is that the next version had a USB-C port so I could charge a fourth device, like a smart ring or something. Otherwise, this thing is awesome.
