Apple-calls-demand-for-iPhone-Duo-extraordinary-after-orders-slipped.jpg

Demand for the iPhone Duo has been “nothing short of extraordinary,” Apple said in a statement Financial times. The company further said that it is “working hard to get this revolutionary new product into the hands of customers as quickly as possible.”

Pre-orders for the ‌iPhone Duo‌ opened this morning at 5am Pacific Time, and it didn’t take long for available supplies to dwindle. Within minutes, delivery dates went from October 23rd to November, and by 5:30am delivery estimates reached January 25th.

You can no longer order an ‌iPhone Duo‌ for 2026 delivery from Apple, and customers who buy now will wait until early 2027. Before pre-orders launched, some rumors said supplies may be limited due to manufacturing difficulties.

With previous iPhone launches where supplies were limited, Apple has sometimes been able to ship devices ahead of schedule, so it’s possible the company will be able to clear its backlog sooner than expected. There are no guarantees, though, and it’s clear that many will be waiting months.

Apple hasn’t said yet whether there will be stock of the ‌iPhone Duo‌ available for purchase on October 23, but if there is, we could see long lines outside Apple stores for the first time in several years.

Apple’s website suggests there may be some stock available for in-store pickup as early as next week, as there is a note to check availability on October 24.

The ‌iPhone Duo‌ price starts at $1,999 and goes up to $3,199 for 2TB of storage. The first orders will be delivered to customers on October 23.
