Following today’s launch of the iPhone Duo, Apple has now published numerous guides and repair manuals for users and independent technicians looking to replace or repair individual components of the device. Here are the details.
iPhone Duo DIY repair guides now available
Today, Apple released a series of support documents covering software and hardware issues that could affect the iPhone Duo, including hinge issues, Touch ID, and display troubleshooting.
Now the company has also released the official repair manual for the device, with detailed step-by-step instructions for replacing individual components.
Apple recommends that users and technicians read the entire repair manual before starting and proceed only if they feel comfortable performing repairs as directed.
Dedicated safety guides are also available for procedures involving glass breakage and battery replacement, with Apple explaining the precautions, tools and steps needed to minimize the risk of injury or damage.
It’s worth noting that while Apple also offers genuine replacement parts and tools through its self-service repair store, parts for the iPhone Duo are not yet available.
