Steam users can currently purchase another highly rated game without spending a dime. Exologicala Sudoku-inspired puzzle game developed by MythicOwl, is distributed by the developers. Originally published in May 2018, it takes familiar Sudoku principles and applies them to hex grids. Players must arrange the dots inside the hexagons so that their sums correspond to the values displayed along three different axes.
Exological has over 90 hand-crafted levels spread across six distinct worlds, each introducing new puzzle mechanics. It also offers an atmospheric soundtrack, colorful visuals, and a relatively gentle learning curve. Other features include an endless puzzle mode, Steam Workshop support, and a level editor for creating custom challenges.
Despite being almost eight years old, Exological maintains an overwhelmingly positive rating on Steam, with 96% of its approximately 690 user reviews favorable. It is also officially Steam Deck Verified, making it suitable for portable gaming without requiring additional setup. Native Windows and Linux versions are available.
According to SteamDB, the giveaway started on October 29th and will end on October 31st at 5pm UTC. Unlike a free weekend, this promotion allows players to keep the game permanently. Interested players can visit the official Steam store page and select “Add to Account” before the deadline. No subscription or additional purchase is required.

I have been an avid PC gamer since the age of 8. My passion for gaming eventually pushed me into general technology, and I got my first writing job at age 19. I have a degree in mechanical engineering and worked in manufacturing and a few other publications like Wccftech before joining Notebookcheck in November 2019. I cover a variety of topics including smartphones, gaming, and computer hardware.
