Apple’s latest tvOS 27.2 beta adds weight to rumors that the next Apple TV will have Siri AI and Apple Intelligence support. The code suggests that Apple is adding an Enhance Siri and Apple Intelligence toggle to the tvOS Settings app.
“Help improve the Core and Siri models by allowing Apple to collect and use your text and audio interactions with Siri, Dictation, and Translator,” the text reads.
Other Apple devices with Apple Intelligence have similarly labeled privacy policies and data sharing options. On devices that don’t support Apple Intelligence, the setting is called “Improve Siri and Dictation.” The new code is included alongside the existing Siri data sharing code, so it’s likely that only Apple Intelligence-compatible hardware will see it.
tvOS 27.2 also has a new Siri Messages UI framework, which means that Messages content may be displayed on Apple TV in the future. Siri may be able to read messages sent to a connected iPhone and show smart reply options on Apple TV. The current version of Siri on Apple TV does not support sending or reading messages, so the framework is likely related to Siri AI.
Apple is working on a version of the Apple TV with 8GB or 12GB of RAM and an A19 or A19 Pro chip, hardware that can support Siri AI features on the device. It looks like Apple is laying the groundwork for the new Apple TV with tvOS 27.2.
We could get a new Apple TV as soon as October 13th.
