CD Projekt Red has chosen Ciri as the protagonist The sorcerer 4but much of the cast is a mystery. However, Yennefer’s voice actress has now admitted to recording new lines. Another possibility is that Geralt’s soulmate appears The Witcher 3: Songs of the Past expansion.
Reddit user -FMAF says that Denise Gough, who voiced Yennefer in the third Witcher game, attended a recent event. He signed a copy of The last wish collection of short stories and then gave an unexpected update. The Irish actress said she recorded dialogue involving Ciri.
The latest comments contrast with what Eurogamer reported in 2025. At the time, the Yennefer actress revealed that her involvement in The sorcerer 4 he was uncertain.
Unfortunately, it’s debatable which project Gough was referring to. When The sorcerer 4 hopefully with a release date of 2028, fans know that Geralt’s adopted daughter will be the protagonist. Geralt himself will play a role, but his lifelong love interest remains unconfirmed.
Fan favorites will likely return
Although the fourth installment begins a new trilogy, the studio stressed that the game is not a reboot. In a 2024, executive producer Malgorzata Mitrega explained how “relationships and emotions” would guide Ciri, now played by Ciara Berkeley. Few figures are as influential on the character as Yennefer, who protects her surrogate daughter and helps her hone her magical abilities.
Gough may also have anticipated a contribution to Songs from the past before the 2027 release date. However, the narrative seems to center on Geralt and continues The sorcerer 3. Doug Cockle returns to voice the hero, with John Schwab portraying his friend Dandelion. It’s unclear what other cast will join them in Letten’s open-world setting.
While fans await clarification on the matter The sorcerer 4they won’t be short on content. Even before Songs from the past expansion debuts, The Witcher 3 remastered has reignited interest in action RPGs.
