Xiaomi’s new 5000 mAh Jinshajiang ultra-thin magnetic Power Bank is available in three colors

Xiaomi has launched an updated version of its 5,000 mAh Jinshajiang ultra-thin magnetic Power Bank in China, with faster charging and improved security features compared to the previous model. The new model still uses a silicon-carbon battery, keeping it just 6.75mm thick.

Xiaomi has launched a new 5000 mAh Jinshajiang Ultra-thin Magnetic Power Bank in China, less than two weeks after releasing the 10,000 mAh model. The new accessory is an updated version of the 6mm thick, 5,000mAh UltraThin model released earlier this year. At 6.75mm, the new model is slightly thicker, but adds two useful upgrades.

To recap, Xiaomi’s Jinshajiang power banks use high-energy-density silicon-carbon batteries to maintain their slim designs. The new 5,000 mAh model is just 6.75 mm thick and weighs 105 g. That said, Xiaomi has now upgraded the wireless charging speed from 15W to 20W, while wired charging now maxes out at 27W via USB-C, up from 22.5W on the original. However, wireless charging is still limited to 7.5W on iPhones.

The other major update is security. According to Xiaomi, the new power bank complies with the GB 47372-2026 safety standard, which includes more stringent requirements designed to reduce the risk of battery-related fires and explosions. Like the previous model, the power bank attaches magnetically to the back of phones for wireless charging. In addition to Xiaomi’s 17 and 18 series, it should work with recent iPhones and Android phones like the Google Pixel 11 series.

Prices and availability

The Jinshajiang 5000mAh Ultra-thin Magnetic Power Bank is now available in China for 299 yuan (~$44.55). Buyers can choose between silver, black and a new burgundy color to match the Xiaomi 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro phones. Xiaomi hasn’t announced a global launch date, but the older model is available outside of China, including in the UK.
